Web Content Navigator

BrightPlanet, a Sioux Falls based software development company is opening more positions for a Web Content Navigator.  We are the leader in harvesting high quality content from inaccessible Deep Web and Surface Web sources on the Internet.  Our patented harvesting technologies allows us to find and harvest relevant content from Deep Web sources, unlike Google and Bing which return only the most popular links. 

BrightPlanet’s Content Navigators use propriety technology to find and harvest Deep Data (“unknown and hidden” data) on the Web on behalf of our customers.  Every problem is unique and challenging.

Content Navigator tasks include:

• Identifying and qualifying topic specific online Deep Web sources.
• Configure, test and maintain sources.
• Work directly with customers to build unique harvest profiles.
• Assess and refine quality of returned content.
• Help design, populate and manage interactive Web portals.
• Work closely with our R&D team fulfilling customer requirements.

To qualify for this job you must be an exceptional candidate with any combination of education, training, and/or experience which demonstrates competence in each of the following: 

• Ability to plan, develop and implement complex research projects and present results.
• Highly organized with strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Results oriented and ability to consistently meet tight project deadlines.
• Ability to work successfully both independently and in small teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with being career oriented.
• Computer literacy and comfort working with the Internet.
• HTML, scripting and programming a strong positive, but not required.
• The desire to work with the sense of ownership and urgency to see projects to completion.
• Ability to translate client business needs to successful projects.
• Communicate efficiently and effectively with customers.

This position is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The salary is dependent upon education and experience.  We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package.
